CMP I/I PROJECTS

CMP Invest/Impact

CMP Invest/Impact offers its members the opportunity to invest at an equity position in upcoming impact documentaries in production. CMP I/I is an affiliate member of Impact Partners, with access to its roster of film investment opportunities, as well as other projects that come to CMP I/I attention. Members pay an annual fee to CMP I/I for access to these curated films and in return receive project descriptions, investment recommendations, and status updates on select films, as well as other benefits. 

To date, CMP I/I and its members have invested nearly $1 million in ten different films, with CMP I/I and individual members coming on board as Executive Producers on some projects. We continue to offer our members the chance to invest in great films that speak to the causes that matter to them, with an expected return that can be re-invested in new projects.

EAGLE HUNTRESS TEAM: Otto Bell, Stacey Reiss, Morgan Spurlock SYNOPSIS: The inspiring story of 13-year-old Aisholpan, a nomadic Mongolian girl battling to become the first female to hunt with a golden eagle. Featuring breathtaking cinematography and intimate footage, this film not only explores the life of a young girl striving to pursue her passion and break down gender barriers in a very traditional culture but also provides an engaging glimpse into the lives of this remote community, as they balance their traditional lifestyle with the modern world. STATUS: COMPLETED: Premiered at 2016 Sundance Film Festival, where the team sealed a major distribution deal with Sony Pictures Classics. Actress Daisy Ridley joined as Executive Producer and will add English-language narration. The film has been acquired for remake as an animated feature.

The result is a poetic and intimate story of loss, rebirth and transformation, documenting an extraordinary journey into “a world beyond sight," including an accompanying VR exhibit.

And yet, few know about one of their most fascinating and deeply symbolic displays of excess, the small Philippine island of Calauit, where the Marcoses evicted families to created a private wildlife reserve for the personal enjoyment of their family and friends. Decades later, this surreal safari park still exists, neglected, abandoned and feral. FANTASY ISLAND tells the mythic tale of the Marcoses' island project while simultaneously following both Imelda and son Bongbong’s return to power in the Philippines today. STATUS: IN PRODUCTION

These are the questions asked and answered by filmmaker Hope Litoff in RULES TO LIVE BY, a searing portrait of surviving a family in chaos, and a film of incredible honesty, intimacy, and emotional power.
